French online game maker Ubisoft will increase writedowns and lowers goals

PARIS, Jan 11 (Reuters) – Ubisoft (UBIP.PA) is expanding its writedown estimate to 500 million euros ($538 million) and reducing its full-year income goal after finishing 2022 with weaker-than-expected gross sales, the French online game maker mentioned on Wednesday.

Ubisoft cited the deteriorating economic system, marked via decrease spending on non-essential items, to provide an explanation for the acceleration of the depreciation, prior to now focused at 400 million euros.
